The Seminole County Fire Department (SCFD) recently honored a Sanford, Fla.-based dentist and several firefighters at Fire Station 34 for their lifesaving actions that helped save the life of Sanford resident (of Lake Forest) Jeff Kotkin following a sudden cardiac arrest during a neighborhood pickleball game. Since his full recovery, Jeff has been a huge advocate for Seminole County Fire Department’s Save a Life Seminole program – a free class that teaches hands-only CPR and how to use an AED.
