The Lake and Williams Avenue Reunion was recently held on May 16 at Mike Kirby Park in Sanford.
These families grew up together for over 50 years in the surrounding neighborhood of Goldsboro.
Minister Robert Herring AKA BobKool, organized the event and many thanks were extended to all who participated.
The Minister shared that the Lord put it on his heart to send a call out to the immediate neighborhood of Lake and Williams Avenue. The goal of the gathering was to reflect on the past and where the Lord has brought the individuals today.
He added that no one knows what their lifespan will be so, it's good to stay in touch and to see each other from time to time and giving the Lord Jesus all the glory for our time here on earth.
Families that attended include: Herring, Coachman, Harper, Armstrong, Foster, Haws, Clark, Wright, Morrison, Gordon, Brown, Burke, Lanier, Byrd, Hopkins, Scott, Haynes, Jones, Hall, Griffin, Gunn, Wynn, White, Williams and Young.
