Regency Sip & Stroll

Thursday, June 25, 5:30 to 8 p.m., 1700 Oviedo Mall Blvd., Oviedo. Dearest gentle reader,

Join us for Oviedo Mall’s Regency Sip & Stroll, an evening of shopping, sipping, strolling, and pretending for a few hours that your biggest concern is securing a favorable match before the season ends. Explore amazing vendors. Dress in your Regency best (or simply admire those who do). And most importantly, enjoy a free food and wine stroll throughout the mall. Will there be scandal? We can neither confirm nor deny. Will there be wine? Yes. We look forward to seeing you at court.

 

Books, Balls & Blocks

Friday, June 26, 9 a.m., DeBary Hall, 198 Sunrise Blvd., DeBary. Children are invited to a morning featuring fun, free activities and developmental screenings provided by the Early Learning Coalition of Flager and Volusia. The event will also feature Kids Corner, a free story time program where children can enjoy books, sing songs, dance, and make a craft together. Saturday, June 27, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Centennial Park, 400 S. Park Ave., Sanford. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will host this event with a festive, street-party atmosphere along with games, music, food & drinks.

 

American Legion America’s 250th Birthday Party

Saturday, June 27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., American Legion, 2544 Park Drive, Sanford. Games such as connect4, cup pong, darts, corn hole & ladder ball featured, indoor slot car racing, a bounce house & balloons.


 

Amateur Radio Field Day 2026

Saturday, June 27, 2 p.m., Central Winds Park, Winter Springs. Central Florida Amateur Radio Clubs will participate in AARL National Field Day 2026. Several different radio stations will be set up to make contacts across the world through various means of radio communication. There will also be a station setup for new hams & those interested in the hobby to make contacts. Open to all.


 

Rock, Freedom & Fireworks

Saturday, June 27, 5 to 10 p.m., Reiter Park, 311 Warren Ave., Longwood. Live music, community fun and a spectacular fireworks show.


 

Genealogy Club

Sunday, June 28, 2 p.m., North Branch, 150 N. Palmetto Ave., Sanford. Learn about genealogy, in collaboration with the Sanford Genealogy Club, from our experts and each other. All experience levels are welcome. Registration is only required if attending online. A link provided at registration and emailed one day before event. Library card required to register. Free. Geneva Festival

Saturday, July 4, 8:30 a.m., beginning at Rural Heritage Center,  (old brick school at First & Main), Geneva. Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with booths, food, children’s activities, cake walk & more. Parade starts at 10 a.m. with flyover, antique cars, scouts, floats, bicycles, horses & more. Oviedo celebrates 250 Years of America

Saturday, July 4, 5 to 8 p.m., Oviedo Mall, Oviedo. Variety of vendors for kids & adults inside the mall, including shopping at all the stores. Avoid the rain and heat & enjoy the gigantic indoor celebration of our Independence. The stage will be located in the food court, with live performances from Oviedo's School of Rock & the University Performing Arts Center's Zigfried Follies. Entertainment & displays include: Minutemen walking through the crowds for photo ops, A Town Cryer, A Military Walk Through Time inside the Community Center - From the Revolution to Space Force, presented by the American Legion, Betsy Ross with the first American Flag, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Face Painters, Balloon Artist, Stilt Walkers & Civil War Camp Re-enactment. At 7 p.m. at the Food Court Stage, there will be a talking re-enactment of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. At 8 p.m., everyone who wants to see fireworks can head outside to set up and watch Central Florida's largest Fireworks Display outside the Mall. Fireworks will start at 9 p.m. (pending weather) - be sure to get to your spot before then to enjoy. The Food Court will be open for business, where you can grab a bite to eat.

 

Celebration of Freedom

Saturday, July 4, 5 to 9 p.m., Central Winds Park, Winter Springs. Free. Family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, a free kids' area, and a variety of vendors, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.


 

Freedom Fest

Saturday, July 4, 5 to 10:30 p.m., Gemini Springs, DeBary. Freedom Fest will  have live music, food trucks, a kids’ zone, and a beer tent, all leading up to an unforgettable nighttime spectacular featuring fireworks, laser lights, and a drone show. Complimentary shuttle service from off-site parking locations (locations TBD), making it easier to attend.
