In celebration of National Araguaney Day, Venezolanos en
Sanford (VES) the group recently had the honor of planting the Araguaney, Venezuela’s national tree and a symbol of hope, strength, and identity for the Venezuelan people.
The event took place at Groveview Park, a park adopted by VES as part of its commitment to community service, public space preservation, and the promotion of Venezuelan culture in the City of Sanford.
The event brought together families, volunteers, community leaders, and partner organizations to celebrate our roots and strengthen the bonds of integration between the Venezuelan community and the city we now proudly call home.
VES extends its sincere gratitude to the City of Sanford for its support, trust, and commitment to the Venezuelan community. The organization also recognizes the efforts of
Venezuela Libre News and the Araguaney Libre Project for promoting this initiative, which seeks to plant Venezuela’s national tree in different communities as a symbol of identity, freedom, and hope.
“Planting an Araguaney means planting our roots, our history, and our love for Venezuela. It is also a gesture of gratitude to the City of Sanford, which has welcomed us and given us the opportunity to contribute positively to the community,” said Jaime Navarro, President of Venezolanos en Sanford.
The organization would like to thank all volunteers, families, sponsors, and community members who made this beautiful project possible. Together, we continue building a legacy of service, culture, and unity that will flourish for future generations. For more information about Venezolanos en Sanford (VES) and its cultural, educational, and community programs, please visit our Facebook and Instagram pages: Venezolanos en
