Snarky McSnide says - Stupid Military Mistakes

Snarky McSnide says - Stupid Military Mistakes

Yalu River bridges, North Korea, early October, 1950, Truman was advised not to bomb them, it might make the Russians and Chinese mad.

November 1, 1950,  Where did all those Chinese guys in quilts come from?

Pearl Harbor oil tanks, December 7, 1941, Japanese third wave of attack was supposed to get them, Yamamoto called it off.

Yamamoto, Midway, June 5,1942, "I could swear we had four aircraft carriers yesterday, where did they go?"

Mekong River, Viet Nam, never ending supply line for Viet Cong from 1960 to 1977. When we finally decide to block it, after losing 50,000 soldiers, we get the Kent State Riots and the political will to continue the war, ceases.

Wars are not won on the front line, they are won by the side that destroys the other guys logistics. Ukraine is making mincemeat of Russian infrastructure.

Bandar Abbas is the Iranian port city that controls the Strait of Hormuz. The next city of any size, is over three hundred miles away. From this location, they used rockets and ballistic missiles to level our command structure in Qatar.

Our response was to bomb the launching sites and personnel. We should have, like the Ukrainians, gone after the logistics, and taken out the electrical grid and the water plants.

Stupid military mistakes never end.
