Eddie Lee Jackson, 79, affectionately known as “Bubba”; of Sanford, Florida, peacefully
departed this earthly life on July 4, 2026, surrounded by his family. Mr. Jackson proudly served
his country in the United States Army and was a faithful servant of God, serving as a Trustee at
Allen Chapel AME Church in Sanford, Florida. He retired from CSX Transportation (railroad)
after a notable career as a District Safety Manager. He was preceded in death by his beloved
wife, Eva Jackson. Though he has departed this life, his legacy of love, service, and devotion
will continue to live on through those who cherished him. He leaves to treasure his precious
memories: his daughter, Myra T. Hall; his loving sister, Laverne “Honey” Thompson; his godson,
Dr. Pernell “Peanut” Bush; a host of loving nieces, including his devoted caregiver, Kenya “Kiki”
Thompson; nephews, cousins, devoted friends, neighbors, and all whose lives were touched by
his kindness and wisdom. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026,
at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1203 S. Olive Avenue, Sanford, Florida. Visitation will be held
from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church.
Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Cape Canaveral National
Cemetery, Mims, FL. Final arrangements are entrusted to A.C. WYNN FUNERAL
