A man was arrested after allegedly shooting two people, according to Sanford Police.
On Sunday morning around 7:30, police responded to a call about a shooting at Barewood Lane, building 16. According to a statement, two people were seen with apparent gunshot wounds.
After further investigation, they identified the suspect as 51-year-old Santana Sutton of Orlando. Police say there was an altercation at the apartment complex after he arrived at his ex-girlfriend’s home. Shots were fired, and the woman and another individual fled the scene before being taken to a hospital.
Sutton had a warrant for arrest previous to the incident, and turned himself into Winter Haven Police Department without incident a day later on August 12th.
He is charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder, armed burglary with a battery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted Felon.
