Earlier this week, a new traffic signal was installed at SR 434 and Michael Blake Boulevard. This project was approved by the city commission meeting in April 2023. The task was funded using impact fees. City leaders say “the new signal will enhance safety for pedestrians and vehicles along one of Winter Springs most heavily traveled roadways.”
The city’s news release said drivers are advised to use caution during the next two weeks as technicians have set the lights in “flash mode” to allow drivers to adjust to the new signal before it becomes fully operational.
