A man was arrested on multiple burglary charges after allegedly stealing an electric bicycle from a garage in a Winter Springs neighborhood.
On July 29, police reported that they arrived at the Tuskawilla Crossings neighborhood around 9:40 a.m. regarding a call about a burglary that occurred earlier at 9 a.m. The victim said a camera outside of his house showed the man, now identified as Michael Anthony Chisholm, 32, riding past the garage multiple times on a gray electric scooter.
When the resident went out front to cut the grass briefly, the man entered the garage and stole the black E-bike valued at $900. He left the electric scooter he was originally on lying in the grass.
Two days prior, Michael Chisholm also removed a white E-bike.
Michael Anthony Chisholm was arrested on multiple charges including burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, theft, fraud, and dealing in stolen property.
Winter Springs Police posted a statement to their Facebook page with a reminder “Remember: Thieves are opportunistic and will check for unlocked doors. By simply locking up, you can deter potential theft and protect your belongings.”
