SANFORD — In near perfect conditions, the Lake Monroe Sailing Association (LMSA) saw one of its closest races in recent memory as Gen 4, under the guiding hand of Fisk Hayden, crossed the finishing marker just 26-seconds ahead of Fleur de Mer II and the Olivier Fleury led crew in the weekly Wednesday Night Goslings Rum Race.
Gen 4 was also the winner in Displacement Boat, while Bad JuJu, with Jim White at the tiller, claimed first place in Planing Boat and completed the podium with a third place finish overall, just 2:41 behind.
Following the racing action, the competitors and fans made their way to Filomena's for an awards ceremony and an evening of social activity.
