Sanford Police are looking for a suspect involved in a vehicle burglary.
Around 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, an individual was seen on a security camera entering an unlocked vehicle without the owner’s permission.
The car was parked in Aqua Links Apartments located at 2450 Hartwell Ave. The footage shows the individual using their phone’s flashlight to look into the car and see if it was unlocked.
After discovering it was unlocked, the suspect proceeded to search the car for valuables, keeping the flashlight still on.
After rummaging through the first vehicle, the suspect continued to roam the parking lot attempting to find more unlocked cars.
The individual then continued looking for more cars in the parking lot. The area has had multiple burglary reports and residents are reminded to keep their vehicles locked and remove valuables from sight.
