The Arrest Report

Bruised Pride

Citrus City Craft had an unpleasant and unfriendly visitor in their establishment earlier this week. According to an arrest report, Lake Mary police responded to the restaurant when they received a call from a man saying there was a disturbance. The man stated that three people were attacking him and one had a gun. They arrived at the scene to see a man standing outside on the phone. Although they pulled up with lights flashing, the man did not try to get their attention, but police were able to identify him as the caller. There were no bruises or marks visible, but the man said people attacked, punched, and even kicked him in the face. He refused to be evaluated by the fire department, and when asked what was injured he responded “his pride was injured.” As he explained the incident, he continuously swung his arms in the authorities faces. The police say they tried to calm him down and have him seated, but he only became more belligerent, they could also smell an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The restaurant staff said he was causing a ruckus and had their customers separated. The police asked the man if he could call an Uber home, he was arrested for public disturbance while intoxicated after ignoring them, yelling at them and trying to film the officers.

Intruder in Listings

A missing man was found living in a home for sale in Altamonte Springs. On Sunday, police responded to a call from a mom who was looking for her son. She filed a missing persons report, and police exhausted every option to find him. A scent article and K9 dog led to a door swinging open at 698 Douglas Ave. The missing man was found and placed in a police car and handcuffs. The man claimed he was only there for a couple of hours after seeing the back door was open and was about to clean the bathroom.  After looking through the house, police saw the man had used an unfinished shower, washer and dryer, and several belongings were scattered around the home. His showering caused mold to the construction, and “the wood, walls, and floor all need to be repaired in order for construction to continue due to the damage. He now faces damage and unoccupied dwelling charges.

Prank Turned Pursuit

Earlier this week, a man staying at the Altamonte Springs Hotel & Suites, decided to make his day a bit more eventful—by repeatedly calling 911 with some made-up stories. Seminole County dispatch received multiple 911 calls that were all from the same number. The man claimed he had been assaulted by a woman in room 260. Officers arrived at the hotel, but no one answered the door, and hotel staff mentioned seeing the guests leave while looking perfectly fine and even laughing together. Despite not finding anyone, another 911 call came through while the officers were still on the scene. This time, the man used a different name but called from the same number. While waiting by the hotel door, officers found the woman. She confirmed she had no arguments or physical altercations with the man that day. She mentioned seeing him heading toward the back of the building, and that’s when things got interesting. Officers identified the man, he then took off running and vaulted over a wall into a storage facility. He was eventually found hiding under a vehicle. Officers had to physically detain him, as he continued to resist by bracing and tensing up under the car. When asked why he ran, Mulkey simply said he was scared and didn’t want to get “beat up.”
