SANFORD — Mother Nature gave the Lake Monroe Sailing Association a break from the recent stormy and rainy evenings on Wednesday as it turned out to be a beautiful night to sail with winds 8-10 knots for the Goslings Rum Race.
And six vessels and crews took advantage of the clear weather with Steve Hayden and the girls (Angie Rimes Hayden, Jasmine Bree Sung and Monique Rogers) sailing on GEN4 for the victory _ both overall and first place in Displacement Boat _ over Rich Gailey onboard Wicklow Way and Show Me under the guiding hand of Andy Forrest.
