With activities galore that each foster unique talent from each and every niche of its campus, the Lake Howell Silverhawk’s dedication to craft shine together, each individual uniting as a part of one big family. As a part of this testament to one-ness, Lake Howell High’s annual Hawk Expo highlights the creative magic that blends together to make each club and extracurricular activity possible. This innovation, of course, begins with a handful of determined students and supportive sponsors, which are Lake Howell’s very own teachers and staff.

Just to name a few, the Hawk Expo, typically held on Wednesday nights of Open House, provides a space to showcase the variety of extracurriculars that the high school represents such as Key Club, International Connections Club, Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honors Society, Phi Omega Nu Step Team, Law Club, Health and Wellness Club, American Sign Language Club, National Honor Society, the Addition Financial student teller program, various sports organizations including those for basketball and beach volleyball, new and innovative clubs such as the Scrapbooking Club and Anime Club, and many more. Students are both given, and create, the opportunity to express themselves in a positive and diverse manner in an environment that supports changing minds and ambitions. The expo was a wonderful opportunity, and large success, with hundreds of parents and students attending to explore these opportunities.

In its united Silverhawk family, and within its first fifty years of its founding, Lake Howell High has continued to bolster a positive change in academics, student led programs, honor societies, and international and community involved organizations. Henceforth – within its recent years – the school has progressively proved itself as evidence behind the scientific law that states that change is an unstoppable force of nature which must first be acted upon to be created, bolstered, and catered. Its blueprint for success leads into the future with great pride. Hawk Expo, was once again, both beyond successful and a blast.
