Lighthouse Central Florida CEO Speaks at 'In the Dark' Experience on Capitol Hill
Lighthouse Central Florida’s CEO, Kyle Johnson, recently delivered powerful remarks at former Nevada Congressman John Porter's inaugural "In the Dark" experience in Washington, D.C. The event was held during the 34th Anniversary of the American Disabilities Act and focused on the daily challenges faced by individuals with blindness and vision impairment. This event was designed to provide leaders from various organizations across the country with a glimpse into the lives of those living with vision impairment, by having them interact in a completely dark space. Ushers with night vision goggles provided assistance to attendees in the dark space.
