Ms. Clara Mae Ashley was born December 28, 1952, to the late Raymond and Fannie Ashley of Sanford, Fl. She was the twelfth of sixteen children. She attended Crooms High-school and graduated in the class of 1970. She also attended Seminole Community College. Ms. Clara retired from Siemens after twenty plus years as an electronic assembler.
She became a member of Calvary Temple of Praise in 1996 under the leadership of her friends, Pastor and Mrs. Paul Wright. She was the matriarch of her family, a prayer warrior, and a great cook and baker. She departed this life on September 25, 2024 in Altamonte Springs.
Left to cherish her loving memories are: Children, Sherry Ashley, Sharon Ashley, and Michael Ashley all of Sanford; 9 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Clifford {Nora} Ashley, Jacksonville, Dorothy Stephens, Tampa, Edgar Ashley and Vincent Ashley both of Sanford; Sister-in-laws, nieces, nepews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held at A. C. Wynn’s Funeral Services, 1300 Historic Goldsboro, Sanford, FL on Friday, October 4, 2024, 5-7pm. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 2pm. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery. Final arrangements are entrusted to A. C. Wynn’s Funeral Services, Inc.
