Clara B. (Ates) Richardson, 87, of Winter Springs, Florida, transitioned this life peacefully on September 26, 2024, at Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital in Longwood, Florida. She was born February 10, 1937, to the late Gifford B Ates, Sr. and Leola Brown Ates. She was a retired Clerk for Walgreens. On December 12, 1958, she joined in Holy Matrimony to Ernest Richardson for over 66 years. Preceded in death by one son Michael Richardson, one daughter, Cheri Richardson, Father, Gifford B. Ates, Sr., Mother Leola Brown Ates; five brothers: Jessie Ates, Math C. Ates, Willie C. Ates, Namon Ates, James Lee Ates, one sister: Lessie Mae Ates. Clara is survived by her devoted husband, Ernest Richardson, one son, Ivan Richardson, one brother, Gifford B. Ates, Jr. (Brenda), Tifton, GA, four sisters; Arlene Ates, Tifton, GA, Annie Ruth Ates Brown, Piscataway, NJ, Lena Ates Carter, Windsor, CT, Dorothy Ates-Cromer Snead (JC), Tifton, GA., an a host of grands, great-grands, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service to honor Clara B. Ates Richarson’ life will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 5, 2024, at A. C. Wynn Funeral Services., Sanford, FL., 1300 Historic Goldsboro Blvd., Sanford, FL.
