 Sanford Seminole Art Association Meeting

 Saturday, Oct. 26, 1 to 3 p.m., Seminole County Sheriff’s Department, Community Room, 100 Eslinger Way, Sanford. Free & open to the public. Brief business meeting  followed by a refreshment break & demonstration by the guest artist Nevin Mercede. Her speciality is acrylic on wood. She has exhibited her work since 1988 in solo, invitational, & curatorial projects. She is also published in many articles & books. She has also been active in the arts in community service since 1988. 

 

Jeep Night & Cornhole

Friday, Oct. 25, 6 to 11 p.m., Decision Tactical, Sanford Mall. Evening of Jeeps, corn hole games, music, giveaways, food & beverages. Vendors and a DJ playing current pop songs. 

 

Date Night 

Friday, Oct. 25, 8 to 10 p.m., Cranes Roost, Altamonte Springs. In the spirit of Halloween, a spooky screening of “The Blair Witch Project.”  Invite your date or group of friends, and don't forget to bring a blanket or a chair. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Patrons must be at least 21 years of age. 

 

Howl-O-Ween 2024

Saturday, Oct. 26, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Cranes Roost, Altamonte Springs. Franklin’s Friends is proud to present the eleventh annual HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest. We will have a (much shorter than in years past) dog walk, canine costume contest, adoptable dogs, pet-friendly vendors, music and much more. All proceeds will benefit Franklin’s Friends. Denise Ryan from 98.9 WMMO's Morning Show will return to emcee. Morning of fun for the whole family.

 

Horsepower Ranch Car Show & Luau

Saturday, Oct. 26, 10 a.m., Horsepower Ranch, (Show Car entrance) 280 Campbell Ranch Run, Geneva. $5 parking, $5 general admission, $20 show car entry. WSPD National Night Out 2024

Halloween at Wekiva     Island

Saturday, Oct. 26, 7 to 11 p.m., Wekiva Island, Longwood. Grab your crew and your best costumes for your chance to win big this spooky season at Wekiva Island! The riverside attraction's fan-favorite Halloween Party and Costume Contest. There will be live music from Jeff Howell and plenty of spooky decor. Halloween at Cranes Roost Park

Thursday, Oct. 31, 5 to 9 p.m., Cranes Roost, Altamonte Springs. Spooktacular night & free community trick-or-treat event where your favorite mini goblins & ghouls can fill their buckets with sweet treats around the lake. Patrons can also participate in the annual costume contest, festive activities and much more. Food and beverages are available for purchase. Prizes are awarded in the following costume categories:

Trunk or Treat

Halloween on 13th Street

Thursday, Oct. 31, 6 to 10 p.m., The Green Store, a local business on Historic Goldsboro Boulevard will feature a guest speaker, music, food & a ‘trunk or treat’ for children.

 

Walk, Arts & Crafts Show

Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Cranes Roost Park, 274 Cranes Roost Blvd., Altamonte Springs. Join the community in a walk to raise funds for the BASE Camp Children's Cancer Foundation. The Arts & Crafts Show is free to attend, and the walk is $25 per person. Teams are welcome to join, but they must register in advance. After the walk, enjoy food trucks to satisfy your appetite and local vendors to browse unique artisanal goods and gifts. This event is welcome to all ages. Call 407-571-8180.
