Grace Bomkamp is  a 9th grade

student at Oviedo High School.

At Oviedo High school, we celebrate homecoming like no other. The festivities began the week leading up to the momentous weekend ahead. Every day had a new theme for students and teachers to dress up for. A personal favorite of mine being the aliens vs men in black theme, where the underclassmen dress up as aliens and the upperclassmen dress up as men in black. Of course upperclassmen got a kick out of going into classrooms to scare the aliens. There is also the infamous powderpuff game where cheerleaders and footballers switch sports, a game that is bound to create an amusing night for the entire student body. Once the spirit week occurs is when the highly anticipated homecoming game happens. With the entire student section participating in the theme “black out” and the school spirit filled with immense anticipation it’s  hard not to have a blast. Oviedo bringing home the win was the cherry on top. Finally, the highly awaited homecoming dance commences Saturday evening. Everyone was dressed absolutely splendid for the spaced themed extravaganza. The dance included popular music, colorful lights, delicious food, photo booths and more. After the long weekend, it is amazing to have so many new memories with friends and classmates.
