   SANFORD — Three weeks after Hurricane Milton visited Florida with strong winds and heavy rain that forced the postponement of several Lake Monroe Sailing Association events, the local group is ready to get back on the water for competition and a little fun.

   The City of Sanford announced earlier this week that the Public Boat Ramps will open this weekend, so the LMSA announced that it will host the Sine Metu Jameson Irish Whiskey Race that was suspended on October 27 will be rescheduled for tomorrow (Sunday) with a start at 1:25 p.m.

   More rescheduled events will be announced in the near future.

   Here is the schedule as it stands today (Thursday):

   * Today (Saturday) _ Mothers Arms Challenge to be re-scheduled.

   * Sunday, November 3 _ October Sine Metu Jameson Irish Whiskey Race. The start window is 1:25 p.m.

   * Saturday, November 9 _ LMSA Members Club Race. Race #8 of the 2024 Members Club Race Series, sponsored by Sanford Brewing for the Hayden Trophy. Skippers meeting at noon.

   * Sunday, November 24 _ Sine Metu Jameson Irish Whiskey Race. The start window is 1:25 p.m.

   * Thursday, November 28 _ The monthly LMSA Membership Meeting will be held from 7 p.m.-to-8 p.m. at the LMSA Club House (531 North Palmetto Avenue).
