Sport Subaru partnered with Pet Rescue by Judy to transform their dealership and find homes for local animals during a community adoption event. The event included free pizza, giveaways, and Subaru swag for anyone who adopted a dog. In addition to the event, Sport Subaru sponsored a $4,000 grant to Pet Rescue by Judy to support their ongoing efforts to improve the lives of shelter animals.
The event and grant are part of Subaru Loves Pets®, a national initiative championed by Subaru of America, Inc. Sport Subaru joins over 630 Subaru retailers nationwide, providing more than $3 million in critical funding to local animal shelters. These grants*, administered by the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®), help cover costs like veterinary care and adoption preparation.
“At Sport Subaru, giving back to our community is at the heart of everything we do, and that includes a strong commitment to helping local animals find loving homes,” said Ramon Grana, General Manager of Sport Subaru. “The Subaru Loves Pets initiative is just one of the ways we contribute throughout the year, and we’re proud to partner with Pet Rescue by Judy to make a meaningful and lasting difference for both pets and people in our community.”
According to the ASPCA, nearly 6.5 million animals entered shelters across the U.S. last year. To help address this need, Sport Subaru and Pet Rescue by Judy teamed up to host the in-person adoption event focused on finding loving homes for local animals.
"We are incredibly grateful for Sport Subaru's unwavering dedication to our community," said Judy Sarullo, executive director at Pet Rescue by Judy. "Our longstanding partnership has made a difference in the lives of countless animals in our area. Events like today's help us to find loving homes for these deserving pets, making a positive impact on both the animals and the community."
Sport Subaru and Pet Rescue by Judy have partnered for many years, reflecting Sport Subaru’s commitment to the local community, which also includes partnerships with organizations like Harbor House of Central Florida, OCPS ACE, and many more.
