The Ritz Theater at Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming production of “Disney’s Freaky Friday The Musical,” directed by Theo Champagne. Auditions will be held on Tuesday., Dec. 17 and Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Ritz Theater, located at 201 Magnolia Avenue in downtown Sanford. Call backs will take place on Thursday, Dec. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m..
Performers aged 14 and up are encouraged to audition for a variety of teen and adult roles. Additionally, 1-2 performers aged 10-13 (any gender) are sought for the role of Fletcher. The production is committed to casting a diverse ensemble and encourages performers of all gender identities, races, body types, and abilities to audition.
Rehearsals begin on January 6, 2025, and will be held Monday through Thursday evenings. Eight performances are scheduled for February 28 through March 9, 2025.
Specific information about securing a 30-minute audition slot, detailed audition requirements, a video with the dance and choreography required at auditions, and virtual audition instructions are all available on our website. Actors under the age of 18 must bring a signed guardian consent form, available upon request or at the auditions.
