Light up Sanford

Friday, Dec. 6, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Magnolia Square, Sanford. A magnificent tree & surrounding area will light up to bring cheer to the holiday season. All are invited to enjoy live entertainment & photo opportunities with special guests from the North Pole. 

 

St. Luke's Concert Series

Friday, December 6, 7 p.m. & Saturday, Dec. 7, 2 p.m.,  St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 2021 W. SR 426, Oviedo. Ring in the holidays with the Brass Band of Central Florida and their show 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. All concerts are free and seating is open. Paws and Claus

Saturday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Fort Mellon Park, Sanford. Vendors, pet photo booths with Santa Claus, food trucks and more.

 

Sanford Holiday Tour of Homes

Saturday, Dec. 7, 12 to 9 p.m., featuring beautifully decorated homes and porches in Mayfair, Fort Mellon and the Historic District in a self-guided driving tour, with golf cart rentals and the Sanford Trolley participating.  Project Sanford will also host a Holiday Market in Magnolia Square during their event hours. Participating homes are currently:

Tertulia Cuatro Gatos

42nd Annual Winter  Wonderland 

Saturday, Dec. 7, 4 to 8 p.m., Winter Springs Town Center.. Stop by & enjoy the festivities this holiday season at Winter Wonderland. Experience an evening with one of the longest-running traditions in the city, the 42nd annual Holiday Parade featuring local talent & businesses & the annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Light Up the Holidays

Saturday, Dec. 7, 5 to 9 p.m., 274 Cranes Roost Blvd., Altamonte Springs. Experience the magic of the season at Light Up the Holidays powered by Duke Energy! Join us in Cranes Roost Park for an enchanting evening filled with dazzling light displays, festive music and holiday cheer. Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, go ice skating, enjoy live entertainment and savor delicious food and drinks. Don't miss the tree lighting ceremony and spectacular fireworks show (scheduled for 6:30 p.m., weather permitting). Christmas Toy Drive Car Show

Sunday, Dec. 8, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Seminole Towne Center Mall, Elev8, Sanford. Freddy Colon of El Concno Auto Entertainment of Oviedo will host automotive vendors and food vendors. Guests are encouraged to donate toys for disadvantaged children. Elev8 will offer indoor fun activities, great food and a full bar.

 

Museum of Geneva 

History

Sundays, Dec. 8 & 22, 2 to 4 p.m., 165 1st St., Geneva or by appointment 407-349-5697 (leave message).  Admission free, but donations appreciated. There are 2 large rooms full of such things as local archaeological finds, pioneer crafts, Ft. Lane search team finds, family genealogical records, Civil War info., and a violano & Edison cylinder player (both play). Learn about the story of Geneva and the Lincoln Conspiracy. Buy T-shirts, caps, prints, and history books. 

 

Sanford Senior Center’s Holiday Party

Tuesday, Dec. 10, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sanford Civic Center. Celebrate the Holidays with friends. This festive luncheon, sponsored by the City of Sanford Senior Center & Mobile Access, will feature delicious food, exciting raffle prizes & live music for guests who are 50 years old or older.

 

Holiday Improv Show

Living with Loss      Workshop

Friday, Dec. 13, 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 15, 10:30 a.m., Sanford Church of Christ,1500 S. Park Avenue, Sanford. Living with Loss Workshop with Dean Miller as the Facilitator. Miller is the Founder & Director of Widowhood Workshop Ministry, has been a Pulpit Minister for over 45 years and has been widowed since 2013. Topics include: What Grief does to Us, Loss from a Personal Perspective , Serving Suffering People and What We ought to do When We are Overwhelmed. The Workshop is a cooperative effort between Sanford Church of Christ and Spring Garden      Avenue Church of Christ.
