Kunwar Yuvaan Singh is a 4th grader at Galileo School for Gifted Learning, Riverbend. He has an entrepreneurial spirit for new ideas and opportunities as well as a passion for learning and books. His favorite sport is cricket, but loves music and the piano.
I will start the holidays with my cousins coming over from Dallas. They will stay for a whole 2 weeks! During the time when my cousins come, I will go to Boombah Sports Complex and we as a family will all play cricket(Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field similar to baseball). I also plan to eat some of my favorite foods like Pizza, FrenchFries, Donuts, Christmas cakes and a dish called Paneer Butter Masala. Paneer Butter Masala is an Indian curry with Blocks of Cottage cheese in a saucy tomato curry. Speaking about food makes me drool…..Can’t wait to have all the delicious food.
We will also have lots of family & friends gatherings with grand food, games and also movie nights on cozy winter evenings with popcorn !!
The holiday is also a good time to start towards learning a new skill or develop the skill we are working on. For me, The Two Important S’s are Studying & Sports. I need to be good in both physical and mental skills. I plan on learning new calming and concentration skills which are vital for both my S’s.
On Christmas Eve, me and my cousins will watch a Christmas movie. On Christmas Day, all of us will wake up and run to the Christmas tree and we will open our presents and then have a delicious Christmas Breakfast. We all plan to enjoy the joy of sharing by leaving Christmas gifts for people who deliver our orders to our doorstep.
On New Year’s Day, we will decorate the house and try to come up with resolutions. Then at 12:00, all my family and friends will shout “ Happy New Year!!!!”. We will each take turns coming up with resolutions and then I will play the piano and everyone will dance. This is how I plan to celebrate my holidays.
