Special to the Herald

The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners has proclaimed United States Air Force Academy Cadet Kathy Corraliza as the December Veteran of the Month. Cadet Corraliza joined the Air Force Academy in 1999, majoring in Foreign Area Studies, and separated in 2000 following a training accident. From 2005 to 2010, she worked as a theater logistics support contractor for the U.S. Army and provided direct support for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. During this time, she managed five communication supply warehouses throughout the Middle East and resided in Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, and Afghanistan during her service. Seminole County is proud to recognize Cadet Corraliza for her outstanding service to protect our nation’s freedoms.
