Funeral Services for Ernest Charles McPherson, 76, who passed Wednesday, October 12, 2023, AdventHealth Altamonte, will be 3 pm Saturday, October 21, 2023, at St. James House of Prayer, 2775 Celery Ave., Sanford, Florida. The viewing will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 4pm - 6pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2001 Sipes S, Following the service, interment will be held at Restlawn Cemetery, Sanford, FL.
Ernest McPherson, known as 'Coach Mac', was born on November 4, 1946 in Jackson, Mississippi. 'Coach Mac' was a pillar in the community and he taught and coached for over 40 years with Seminole County Public Schools. His Christian affiliation was with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon and Trustee Boards. 'Coach Mac' was a wonderful husband, father, and friend who will truly be missed in the community.
