Purpose and Effect: This is a revised policy that updates language to include definitions and prohibitions on vaping in accordance with Florida law.

A Notice of Rule Development was published in the Sanford Herald on February 21, 2021.  A preliminary draft of this Policy may be obtained without cost by contacting the Office of Legal Affairs at the above address.  A public hearing on the proposed rule(s) may be requested in writing within 21 days of this notice.  The written request must be filed on or before the 21st day in the Office of Legal Affairs at the address provided herein.

Purpose and Effect: This is a revised policy. The revisions are to codify the procedures for transferring vacation leave earned at other Florida College System institutions to Seminole State. The revisions furthermore correct the titles for the employee groups earning leave in accordance with the current non-bargaining unit salary schedule.

SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY

NOTICE TO BIDDERS/INVITATION FOR BIDS

 

The Sanford Airport Authority, hereinafter called "Owner," hereby requests sealed bids for the "BUILDING 450 - HANGAR DOOR REPLACEMENT” (Project), at the ORLANDO SANFORD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

 

The project can be generally described as:

 

Removal of an existing damaged hangar door and replacement with a single panel hydraulic door system.  This door system will need to cover the entire existing 93’-6” wide opening with a 17’-10” vertical clearance.  To accommodate the retrofitting of the new hangar door system, the existing hangar structural will require the addition of x-bracing and A-frame columns.  Work will include demolition of existing door system, building structural modifications (as needed), procurement and installation of a new door system, and associated work to complete the door retrofit.

 

The time of completion for the Hangar Door Replacement project is anticipated to be 90 calendar days to achieve Substantial Completion.

 

Sealed bids will be received by the Sanford Airport Authority, 1200 Red Cleveland Boulevard, Sanford, Florida 32773, up to 2:00 pm, local time, MARCH 23, 2021, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened the contents noted and read aloud.

 

On and after March 1, 2021, Bid Documents will be available electronically and may be obtained by contacting Sue Finney, Phone: (407) 599-1122; Email: sfinney@avconinc.com. (hard copies are available for $200 – checks made payable to AVCON, INC.). Bidders must be registered through AVCON, INC. to be eligible to submit a Bid for the project. A complete examination and understanding of the drawings and specifications contained in the Bid Documents is necessary in order for the Bidder to properly submit a Bid.  The Bid Documents also include a detailed set of Instructions to Bidders. All Bids shall be prepared in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The failure to comply with any requirement contained in the Bid Documents may result in the rejection of the Bid as non- responsive or a finding that the Bidder is not qualified for this Project.

 

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted at the Orlando Sanford International Airport, Sanford Airport Authority Board Room, 1200 Red Cleveland Boulevard, Sanford, Florida 32773 on March 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm, local time. A Site Inspection will be conducted immediately following the Pre-Bid Conference. The Pre-Bid Conference is the primary opportunity that Bidders will have to address with the Owner questions about the Project, the Contract Documents, and the Owner’s security requirements.

 

A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the sum of the Total Bid Price will be required for this Project. Exact Bid Guarantee period requirements are defined in the Instructions to Bidders.

 

The Sanford Airport Authority in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Sat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 200d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that if will affirmatively ensure that for any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises and airport concession disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
