NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Lake Mary, Florida in accordance with Florida State Statutes Chapter 705 intends on disposing lost/ abandoned property in one of the following manners: 1. convert and retain the property for use by the City, 2. trade the property to another governmental agency, 3. donate the property to a charitable organization, or 4. declare the property as junk and notify the appropriate refuse removal service. The City of Lake Mary reserves the right to determine the proper and most effective means of disposal.
Generally, the type of property to be disposed of includes, but is not limited to, bicycles, tools, cell phones, jewelry, clothing, and other miscellaneous items. Description of items is available for inspection in the Evidence Section of the Lake Mary Police Department, 165 E. Crystal Lake Ave., Lake Mary, Florida.
All interested persons making claims against said property must show proof of ownership or must be able to identify any markings prior to examination of such property. Claim must be made to the Police Department within two weeks of this ad ending June 9, 2023.

WHEREAS, a prima facie case has been shown, it is therefore the Order of the Court that cause is to be shown by all potential claimants and any other interested party, by filing in this Court, responsive pleadings and affirmative defenses as to why this Court should not enter its Order forfeiting the said property to DENNIS M. Failure to file and serve such pleadings may result in the entry of a Default pursuant to Florida Rule of Civil Procedure 1.500, and a Final Order of Forfeiture.
