The time of completion for the Phase 2 Work (Base Bid) is anticipated to be 224 calendar days to achieve Substantial Completion.  If Phase 3 Work is considered, and Additive Alternate #1 is awarded, 72 Calendar Days will be added to the Phase 2 Substantial Completion duration.  If Additive Alternate #2 is awarded, 158 Calendar Days will be added to the Phase 2 Substantial Completion duration.  If both Additive Alternate #1 and #2 are awarded, 230 Calendar Days will be added to the Phase 2 Substantial Completion duration.  Exact time requirements are defined in the Instructions to Bidders.

 

Sealed bids will be received by the Sanford Airport Authority, 1200 Red Cleveland Boulevard, Sanford, Florida 32773, up to 2:00 pm, local time, APRIL 6, 2020, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened the contents noted and read aloud.

(hard copies are available for $200 – checks made payable to AVCON, INC.). Bidders must be registered through AVCON, INC. to be eligible to submit a Bid for the project. A complete examination and understanding of the drawings and specifications contained in the Bid Documents is necessary in order for the Bidder to properly submit a Bid.  The Bid Documents also include a detailed set of Instructions to Bidders. All Bids shall be prepared in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The failure to comply with any requirement contained in the Bid Documents may result in the rejection of the Bid as non- responsive or a finding that the Bidder is not qualified for this Project.

 

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted at the Orlando Sanford International Airport, Sanford Airport Authority Board Room, 1200 Red Cleveland Boulevard, Sanford, Florida 32773 on MARCH 16, 2020 at 10:00 am, local time. A Site Inspection will be conducted immediately following the Pre-Bid Conference. The Pre-Bid Conference is the primary opportunity that Bidders will have to address with the Owner questions about the Project, the Contract Documents, and the Owner’s security requirements.

 

A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the sum of the Total Bid Price will be required for this Project. Exact Bid Guarantee period requirements are defined in the Instructions to Bidders.
