SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY

NOTICE TO BIDDERS/INVITATION FOR BIDS

 

The Sanford Airport Authority, hereinafter called "Owner," hereby requests sealed bids for the "FIBER AND CONDUIT INSTALLATION” (Project), at the ORLANDO SANFORD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

 

The project can be generally described as:

 

Installing new both excavation and directional drilling and routing of new fiber optic cable. At the terminations the fiber will be connected into five (5) different communication rooms. 2-2-inch conduits shall be installed a minimum of 36-inches in depth with handholes spaced at a maximum distance of 600 feet. Pull strings will be installed in each conduit along with copper tracer line installed. The handholes should be approximately 2’ x 4’ x 3’ and will be made of concrete. The fiber shall be 48 strand, single mode and will be tested, terminated and labeled. The fiber shall be the direct buried with rigid backbone. ST connectors shall be used and prefer Leviton or approval equal.

 

The time of completion for the Fiber and Conduit Installation project is anticipated to be 60 calendar days to achieve Substantial Completion.

 

Sealed bids will be received by the Sanford Airport Authority, 1200 Red Cleveland Boulevard, Sanford, Florida 32773, up to 11:00 a.m., local time, June 10, 2022, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened the contents noted and read aloud.

 

On and after May 9, 2022, Bid Documents will be available electronically and may be obtained on the Sanford Airport Authority’s webpage: https://flysfb.com/procurement/solicitations/ or by contacting Roberta Stanton, Procurement Agent, Phone: 407-585-4020; Email: procurement@osaa.net (hard copies are not available). The failure to comply with any requirement contained in the Bid Documents may result in the rejection of the Bid as non- responsive or a finding that the Bidder is not qualified for this Project.

 

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted at the Orlando Sanford International Airport, Sanford Airport Authority Board Room, 1200 Red Cleveland Boulevard, Sanford, Florida 32773 on May 18, 2022, at 2:00 pm, local time. A Site Inspection will be conducted immediately following the Pre- Bid Conference. The Pre-Bid Conference is the primary opportunity that Bidders will have to address with the Owner questions about the Project, the Contract Documents, and the Owner’s security requirements.

 

A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the sum of the Total Bid Price will be required for this Project. Exact Bid Guarantee period requirements are defined in the Instructions to Bidders.
