SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY

NOTICE TO BIDDERS/INVITATION FOR BIDS

 

The Sanford Airport Authority, hereinafter called "Owner," hereby requests sealed bids for the "ARFF GENERATOR REPLACEMENT AND BUILDING 37 GENERATOR” (Project), at the ORLANDO SANFORD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

 

The project can be generally described as:

 

The replacement of an existing generator at the ARFF Facility including miscellaneous electrical work. This generator will be a 70 KW diesel generator.

 

The installation of a new generator at Building 37 including miscellaneous electrical work. This generator will be a 25 KW natural gas generator.

 

The time of completion for the ARFF Generator Replacement and Building 37 Generator project is anticipated to be 120 calendar days to achieve Substantial Completion.

 

Electronic Sealed Bids will be accepted on the Owner’s online procurement webpage up to 2:00 p.m., local time, October 27, 2022, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened, the contents noted and read aloud.  The opening will take place at the Sanford Airport Authority, 2nd Floor Boardroom, 1200 Red Cleveland Blvd., Sanford, FL  32773.

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted at the Orlando Sanford International Airport, Sanford Airport Authority Board Room, 1200 Red Cleveland Boulevard, Sanford, Florida 32773 on October 5, 2022 at 1:30 pm, local time. A Site Inspection will be conducted immediately following the Pre- Bid Conference. The Pre-Bid Conference is the primary opportunity that Bidders will have to address with the Owner questions about the Project, the Contract Documents, and the Owner’s security requirements.

 

A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the sum of the Total Bid Price will be required for this Project. Exact Bid Guarantee period requirements are defined in the Instructions to Bidders.
