POLICY TITLE: Policy 5120.01 Revision of School Attendance Zones

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The School Board seeks to revise the school attendance zones through an Administrative Rezoning of English Estate and Altamonte elementary schools to insure balanced school enrollment as a result of a proposed new residential development. The proposed development will be known as the Oxford Place Apartments (currently the Jai Alai Fronton area), addressed at 6405 S US Hwy 17-92, that is located on the southeast corner of SR 17-92 and SR 436. The property currently has no residential permits issued at this time. The area will be incorporated into Altamonte Elementary School.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

The City of Lake Mary proposes to adopt the following ordinance:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 1614

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAKE MARY, AMENDING CHAPTER 160, “RESOURCE PROTECTION STANDARDS” OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LAKE MARY, FLORIDA, TO PROVIDE FOR CLARIFICATIONS AND UPDATES TO EXISTING REGULATIONS; PROVIDING CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Lake Mary, Florida, that said Commission will holding Public Hearings for proposed updates to Chapter 160, Resource Protection Standards, of the City’s Land Development Code.  There will be two readings of the above referenced ordinance.  The public hearing dates are as follows:

 

o  First Reading: September 19, 2019, at 7:00pm (or as soon as possible thereafter)

o  Second Reading: October 3, 2019, at 7:00pm (or as soon as possible thereafter)

 

A copy of the staff report and proposed ordinance is available for inspection in the Community Development Department Office, City of Lake Mary Municipal Services Building, 911 Wallace Court, Lake Mary, Florida, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M., or you may call Stephen Noto at 407-585-1440 for information concerning this item.
