Seminole County School Board Annual Prequalification of Contractors 2022-2023

 

It is the intention of the Seminole County School Board (“Board”) to prequalify state- certified general (CGC) and building (CBC) contractors for an annual, renewable certification to bid on construction projects for Seminole County Public Schools. This prequalification is authorized pursuant to Chapter 1013.46 Florida Statutes, Chapter 4.1(8) of the State Requirements for Educational Facilities. (2007 ed.) and School Board policy. The Board is soliciting applications from interested and qualified state-certified general and building contractors who wish to be considered by the Board for prequalification to submit a competitive bid on Seminole County Public School construction projects.

The applicant proposes the use of 11.3 million gallons per day (mgd) of groundwater from the Upper Floridan aquifer for public supply use through 2042. The withdrawals used by this project will consist of Groundwater from FAS - Upper Floridan Aquifer via 18 active wells in Seminole County located in Section 11, Township 20 South, Range 30 East; Section 32, Township 19 South, Range 30 East, Section 4, Township 20 South, Range 30 East, for a project known as City of Sanford.

The Governing Board normally meets on the second Tuesday of the month.
