Seminole County Public Schools has announced four steps the district is taking to address behavioral issues in the wake of the Jan. 19 shooting at Seminole High School that left one student hospitalized and another in juvenile detention.

A DeLand man faces “enhanced charges” in what investigators called a racially prejudiced attack against three high school students at a gas station in Osteen, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

The Greater Regional Sanford Chamber of Commerce has entered into an agreement with the West Volusia Regional Chamber and the Volusia Hispanic Chamber to serve the business communities in a “more unified and inclusive fashion.”
