FK Architecture recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County and Greater Apopka for Women Build ’26 Day, marking the seventh year the firm has supported the organization’s mission to provide safe, affordable housing for families in Central Florida. The build took place on March 6 at 1317 W. 6th Street in Sanford, where FK Architecture team members joined fellow volunteers on site, contributing both financial support and hands‑on labor to help construct a new home for a local family.

The annual Women Build initiative highlighted the collective strength and leadership of women working together to create lasting community impact. Managing Principal Kimberly Hellekson represented FK Architecture during the build, speaking to the firm’s long‑standing commitment to Habitat for Humanity and this year’s fundraising and construction efforts. “Habitat for Humanity is a cause we really believe in. At FK Architecture, we do a lot of affordable housing, and to be able to do it here, raise money, and build a home for local community members is very empowering,” said Hellekson.

March was Women’s History Month, FK Architecture and Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County and Greater Apopka are honored to support women, families, and communities.
