Snarky McSnide says - Who has the Cards?

Snarky McSnide says - Who has the Cards?

Remember, just over a year ago? The President of the United States of America had invited the President of Ukraine to the White House?

There for all to see, was the most disgraceful display of arrogance in American history.

Zelensky was trying to explain his side and prospects in his country's war with Russia's Vladimir Putin. Our excellent Vice-President, J.D. Vance, was having none of it. When Zelensky tried to make a point, Vance said he was disrespectful. He said Ukraine didn't hold any cards. Marco Rubio, our esteemed Secretary Of State, played the part of a couch potato and said nothing. He did not protest when Zelensky was figuratively thrown out of the White House.

The abuse continued for months. Donald J. Trump threatened, he met with Putin in Alaska, he said he would continue supplying Ukraine with rockets and such if Ukraine signed over all its rare minerals to the United States of America in return.

Ah, how times have changed, who has the cards now? Zelensky and Ukraine. Putin figured he could outlast his smaller opponent in body counts.

Donald Trump and our excellent Vice-President, J.D. Vance gave Ukraine no choice but to develop its own fleet of drones and other sophisticated missiles. The latest is nicknamed the Flamingo. (Don't they have some real ones in Palm Beach?) It is wreaking havoc on Russian infrastructure, blowing up oil refineries, electronics plants, communications nodes, etc., that are far distant from Ukraine's borders.

Ukraine is launching more missiles into Russia than Russia is into Ukraine. Russia's annual Victory Day parade was cut short for fear of attack.

In the Iran War, the Gulf States plus Saudi Arabia, made a deal with Ukraine. It would supply them with cheap drones and rockets to defend themselves against Iran and its proxies, something Donald Trump and our excellent Vice-President were not able to do.

Back in Ukraine, the media still talk of a stalemate, that Russia will eventually win by wearing its smaller opponent down. That hasn't happened and it gets more unlikely by the day. Ukraine is not putting troops  in the field, instead it is using robots! Small mobile ones with guns and artificial intelligence. They sneak up on the Russians, in one case causing them to surrender. If one is destroyed, instead of ordering a casket, a requisition is put in for another. Ukraine is ordering 25,000 of the critters.

Imagine you are a Russian soldier, you look up and 25,000 robots are headed your way. If you show yourself, you get shot.

Who has the cards now?
