The final day of the 2025-2026 FHSAA Athletic Year saw defending champion Winter Springs (24-6) dominate its rematch with Niceville (24-8), 6-0, in the Class 5A State Championship Game at the State Tournament at Boombah-Soldier’s Creek Park in Longwood Saturday afternoon.
It was the second straight year that Niceville, the top-seed, was bested by the Bears in the final, as Winter Springs won the 2025 contest, 4-3.
One more big note _ the Bears went 7-0 in the Postseason (2-0 in District, 3-0 in Regions, 2-0 at State), outscoring their foes by an mazing, 71-0.
