Elmira R. Daniels, 86, of Sanford, Florida, departed this life on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Elmira was born on June 1, 1937, in Colquitt, Georgia to the late Irene and Clark Raines. Professionally, Elmira was employed as a hospital laboratory technician for several years.
Elmira dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and her community. She was an active and faithful member of Second Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Sanford, Florida, where she served in various capacities over the years. Elmira instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all her children and family to emulate. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the piano, mowing lawns, and singing. Elmira was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Elmira is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Ezzard) Glenn; sister, Lizzie M. Campbell; 2 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Second Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Sanford, Florida.
A Service of Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Second Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2150 West Airport Boulevard, Sanford with Pastor Marvin L. Scott, Sr., officiating. Interment immediately following the service at Restlawn Cemetery, 1818 West 25th Street, Sanford, Florida 32771.
